These Terms and Conditions are designed to provide clarity and transparency regarding your use of our services. By booking with GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd, you agree and are bound by our booking terms and conditions. You are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted the following terms, which govern your relationship with GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd here in after referred to as (“the Company “) and no person has any authority on its behalf to vary any of the terms and conditions which are applicable.
Booking and Payment Policies
Booking Confirmation
All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit. You will receive an official booking confirmation via email. It is your responsibility to review the details and notify us of any discrepancies.
Payment Schedule
- A 50% deposit of the total costis required to confirm the booking at the time of booking. No reservation is deemed a booking if an advance of 50% deposit isn’t made.
- Final Payment: The balance must be paid 60 days prior to departure. Failure to make the final payment on time may result in cancellation. All bookings made within less than 60 days of the safari starting datemust be paid to Zero balance at the time of confirmation.
We accept various payment methods, including credit cards, bank transfers, and digital wallets. Any bank fees or transaction charges are your responsibility.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by the Client
If you need to cancel your booking, the following charges will apply:
61 days and above 20% of the total tour/safari cost will be retained
46-60 days 40% of the total tour/safari cost will be retained
31-45 days 60% of the total tour/safari cost will be retained
0-30 days 100% of the total tour/safari cost will be retained
Cancellations must be communicated in writing and are effective only upon our acknowledgment. Cancellation fees shall be factored based on the date your written notification is received at GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd Limited by email.
Note: The full amount of gorilla permits, chimp permits, and airfare shall be deemed non-refundable.
Cancellation by the Company
In rare circumstances, GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd may cancel your tour/Safari due to unforeseen events such as natural disasters, political instability, or insufficient bookings. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to another tour.
Gorilla, Chimpanzee, and Golden monkey Permits
Gorilla, Chimpanzee, and Golden monkey Permits cannot be guaranteed until we receive confirmation of the tour/safari by making a 50% deposit payment off the total cost of the tour. Securing a gorilla permit is not a guarantee of seeing the gorillas. We are unable to accept liability for any circumstance that might lead to gorilla viewing being cancelled. Refunds of gorillas’ and other primates’ trekking permits are only done by the relevant authorities (Rwanda Development Board for Rwanda and Uganda Wildlife Authority for Uganda). GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd is therefore not liable for their refund. We shall put our best efforts into getting a refund from the relevant authority and pass it on to the client as soon as we receive it.
The client acknowledges that there is a possibility that an individual traveler may be prohibited from tracking gorillas, chimpanzees, and golden monkeys on the day of a scheduled excursion because of an illness that might be transmitted to them or for some other health-related condition. Only clients with good health conditions are permitted to track primates, and the decision on whether a traveler will be allowed to participate in a primate tracking excursion will be made on the day of the excursion by the park authorities, whose decisions are final. If the client is prohibited from visiting the primates due to illness, no refunds shall be entertained.
Travel Insurance Requirements
GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd strongly recommends you procure comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected events such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and lost luggage. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure their insurance policy is adequate for their specific needs.
Changes to Your Booking
Amendments by the Client
The client may request changes to their booking up to 30 days before departure. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, amendments are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
Amendments by the Company
We reserve the right to make minor changes to your itinerary. In the event of significant changes, you will be notified promptly and offered alternatives.
Responsibilities and Liabilities
Client Responsibilities
By booking with GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd, the client acknowledges that it is solely his/her responsibility to ensure that he/she:
- Comply with local laws and customs of the country/countries that the tour/safari will be held.
- Ensure the validity of your travel documents, including passports and visasthat may be required in respect of the proposed tour and itinerary.GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd will endeavour to assist the client, but such assistance will be at GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd.’s discretion, and the Client acknowledges that in doing so, GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd is not assuming any obligation or liability and the client indemnifies GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd is against any consequences of non-compliance. Nevertheless, the responsibility to ensure that the aforesaid documents are in order and comply with such lawful and other requirements to enable the client to enjoy the benefits of the tour/safari remains with the clients.
- Arrive on time for all scheduled activities.
Company Liability
While we strive to provide exceptional service, GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd is not liable for:
- Any loss, damage, or injury caused by third-party providers.
- Unforeseen events such as weather conditions or strikes.
- Any additional costs incurred due to delays or itinerary changes.
- GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd shall only take liability for loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss caused only when it is proven to have been caused by our representative’s negligence
Health and Safety
Health Requirements
Some destinations may require specific vaccinations or health precautions. It is the client’s responsibility to consult their healthcare provider and comply with any health requirements.
Safety Guidelines
Your safety is our priority. We provide detailed safety instructions before and during the trip. However, the client must exercise caution and adhere to the guidance of our tour leaders.
Special Requests and Accommodations
GoWild Forever Journeys Ltdstrives to accommodate special requests, such as dietary preferences or room configurations. Please inform us of any specific needs at the time of booking. While we make every effort to fulfill these requests, they cannot be guaranteed.
Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Filing a Complaint
If the clientexperiences any issues during the trip, they are advised to notify their tour leader immediately.GoWild Forever Journeys Ltdaims to resolve complaints promptly. If your issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may file a formal complaint within 30 days of your trip’s conclusion.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms will be governed by the laws of Uganda. We encourage resolving disputes amicably but, if necessary, disputes may be referred to arbitration.
Privacy Policy and Data Protection
We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. By booking with GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd, you consent to the collection and use of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your data will never be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
Force Majeure
GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd shall not be held liable for failure to perform any of our obligations under these terms due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, or government actions.
Final Provisions
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the client and GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd. No verbal or written representations outside of this agreement shall be considered binding. GoWild Forever Journeys Ltd reserves the right to update these terms at any time, and the latest version will be published on our website.
